Rody is actually Rodanthi shortened because, let’s face it, the original is quite the mouthful!

Welcome to my Mediterranean world. My Dad now 90 years old was born on the island of Crete. He still owns and lives in the house he was born in.

​

We knew from an early age that soda pop was not allowed in the house and nothing comes close to fresh locally sourced ingredients. I only realized recently that my parents had a great influence on what I created in the kitchen.

​

Mom and I spent many hours around a table making spanakopita for guests. She, one of seven children, taught me the joys of connecting with people while sharing authentic made from the heart food. My boys and I also shared many special moments in the kitchen, including creating the recipe for our chocolate chip cookies.

We all must eat. Even those that cannot agree will find common ground when good food is on the table.
